Synopsis - Our group chosen idea for our horror movie

The chosen synopsis for our horror trailer was the same idea we had from the beginning, paranormal activity as our genre for the trailer. We then decided that our trailer would be based around a group of teenagers, who decide to go and check out an abandoned mental hospital. After being at the hospital for a while the they begin to notice paranormal activity there within the hospital; such as slamming doors, objects being thrown and shadows moving behind them etc. We have decided to include the actual 'antagonist' within the trailer to show the audience some insight into our horror film. The antagonist begins to interfere with the group of teenagers until it seizes all of the them. As we have chosen a mental hospital as our filming location we decided that the antagonist would have been a former patient of the hospital hence the name 'Patient 16'. Overall as a group we decided to go with the idea as the feedback from our questionnaire was fairly positive of our idea.

Recces

After deciding what type of horror trailer we wanted to make, as a group we needed to pick suitable locations to film our trailer. One of the group members already knew of a location, Little Plumstead Mental Hospital so we decided to check out the location. We looked at the location on Google Maps and researched the location and found a lot of blogs and photos of the place. After assessing the location we decided that Little Plumstead Mental Hospital was the best location for our horror trailer. However if we eventually decided that the location was unsuitable for any reason we had other locations that could be used instead.
